Suns COVID-19 Statement - Training Cancelled

Dear Surf Coast Suns Club Members,
The health and safety of the Surf Coast Suns community is the number one priority and we are monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely.
In accordance with government advice, we've cancelled all non-essential club events/functions.
With regards to training, the AFL/AFL Barown/Netball Victoria has not issued specific guidance that training needs to be cancelled. However in light of the State of Emergency that Daniel Andrews has declared today, we believe the best approach as of now is to temporarily cancel all football and netball training until we receive further advice. This aligns with other sporting codes (tennis, basketball) along with school sporting events which have also been cancelled as of today.
We realise this may cause frustration/angst for some kids, however we will always place the health/wellbeing of our kids first. Of course you're more than welcome to take the kids for a kick/run/shoot some goals on the oval or courts at your discretion.
