Suns U13 Deadly Win the Nathan Patterson Cup

After a year of waiting for an opportunity to play Modewarre and win back the ‘Nathan Patterson Cup’, the Surf Coast Suns U13 Deadly finally got their opportunity.

The Nathan Patterson Cup is awarded to the winner when a Suns U13 teams plays Modewarre.

The cup was created in honor of Indigenous Artist Nathan Patterson who created the Suns indigenous jumper which is worn by our under 13 teams.

Nathan also has a connection with Modewarre, thus creating the Cup.

The Suns Jumper Titled “Together under one sun”. 

Feather/gum leaves representing Bunjils county, the cross hatching through the middle represents Wathaurong Land, blue strip is the Ocean and the Sun is a meeting place also symbolizing the Club/Community young and old.
