AFL Barwon AusKick Challenge

On Friday September 23rd, Surfcoast Suns participated in the inaugral AFL Barwon AusKick Challenge at North Geelong.
The AusKick Challenge is a terrific initiative for those AusKickers who are moving into Under 9 football next season to get the feel for an Under 9 game, on a sligly smaller scale.
The grounds were smaller, they still used AusKick footballs, there was no scoring, but they were allowed to experience a modified tackle, started to get used to zones and armbands and play with a bit more structure and guidance from an onfield coach.
The Suns team had 11 very excited players who took real pride in wearing the Suns jumpers for the first time, and will be looking forward to registrations opening up early in the new year to kick off the 2020 Under 9 season.
Thanks to Joel again for co ordinating and all the other parents for helping out on the night to make it a wonderful experience for eveyone involved.
